Over the last 3 seasons, APA titled Sports Physiotherapist Matthew Lynagh has been part of a team that has screened all the U18 SANFL teams, using the FMS (Functional Movement Screen) to assess movement quality and injury risk.

The screening for season 2018 was recently completed over a two day period in Adelaide during the U18 SANFL combine testing at TSA Arena.

Matthew and the team will now track each player’s injury data over the season.

“We are now in the fourth season of data collection for the SANFL U18’s, so the data pool is getting larger with every year, so we can now start asking more in depth questions of players, like if pain with a movement in the screen will increase the potential of injury during the year and adapt treatment plans accordingly” said Matthew.

APA titled Sports Physiotherapist Matthew Lynagh often uses the FMS in his consultation and assessment, at Physioworks Health Group Camberwell and Cranbourne clinics.
